I get a lot of calls about CAD link issues related to someone linking that file within an activated view on a sheet. The scaling seems to be based on the sheet, even if the view is activated. Often times the CAD link is so blown up that it's impossible to see or find anything in order to scale it down.
If a view has been activated on a sheet, have the CAD link figure that out and act as though the view is open and not the sheet.
Yes, it's simple to just open the view from the sheet and link in the CAD, but if you don't know that this behavior exists, then you get lost quickly.
