Express elevations relative to multiple levels while using Modify Sub Elements

While modelling external floors it is important that specific falls are achieved away from the building in order to achieve good drainage. While this can be done with slope arrows or slope defining sketch lines for simple floor shapes, for more complex floor shapes with multiple slopes this is not possible. An alternative is shape editing using Modify Sub Elements.

A drawback of Modify Sub Elements is that the elevations of elements can only be expressed relative to the floor's hosted level. This can be contrasted with slope arrows which can be offset from two different levels at either end.

My idea is to allow for the elevations of sub objects to be expressed relative to multiple levels. So when entering an elevation offset in the options bar this could be expressed relative to a level other than default (as with slope arrow vertices and sketch lines which define a constant height).

I've made a related suggestion for Specifying slopes while using Modify Sub Elements. Please take a look if you are interested.

Thanks,

Martin Powell
