Recently I've tried to make a formula to automatically set the status of a sheet, but I couldn't do it without using Dynamo, because formulas in Revit don't support string manipulation(or hardly any string operations at all). I think the best solution would be to not re-invent the wheel by making something that resembles a programming language for formulas, but use a proper programming language instead, this would make Revit formulas much more useful.
