Revit currently calculates a lot of area (and volume) properties (system parameters). Currently we cannot access this information in Global Parameters. Please Enable the creation of an Area Reporting Parameter for use in Global Parameters - obviously the relevant system parameter Area properties would need to be enabled so we could associate Global Parameters - especially for Rooms and Areas.
