Edit group background

I would appreciate the ability to change the background color of the group edit mode.

Have seen wishes like this before in forums, and a similar idea posted in early 2018.

My idea is to add an option with the rest of the color choices.

And as you can see, I prefer using a dark background. So every time I want to edit a group I'm almost blinded by how Revit currently is.

I would like the back ground colour to remain as is, when editing a group block.

It currently turns yellowish and is hard to see clearly.

I agree this is a huge problem, the yellow in edit group mode is yellow and blinding I'm having a very difficult time making adjustments to the MEP vent piping same color as background. Revit Please fix..!

I absolutely agree. I have difficulty seeing certain colors and need a black background when I am working.  I have seen posts requesting this change dating all the way back to 2008. Please fix!

I agree as well. 

It would be helpful to change the background color to something darker to make lighter linework more visible.

I use yellow selection highlighting with black background like many others, when editing groups this makes item selection completely unusable. I would like to change group edit background to a slightly lighter grey than black to be distinct, but still be able to see my selection.

When editing a group in Revit, the entire canvas turns yellow, which is visually jarring and reduces the readability of elements. I suggest replacing the yellow background with a more subtle visual approach — similar to family editing mode — where elements outside the group appear desaturated, dimmed, or hatched, while elements inside the group remain in full color or are highlighted. This would provide a clearer and more comfortable editing experience without sacrificing context awareness.

so 6 years people have been asking for a simple background color fix and the response from autodesk.....*crickets* but you can bet if you go over your license limit a single time you'll hear from them
