Different Text in different Sheets with Shared Parameter

Different Text in different Sheets with Shared Parameter

I have a project and I create 3 different new A1-sheets.

In the title block of every A1-sheet, I want to add the same Shared Parameter named: "Example".

Now every time, I go for example to the first sheet, in the field "Example", I would like with a simple clic to put the mouse cursor and write down "Name1".(This already works,but....)

Like it's structured Revit now, automaticly all the other sheets, will have named the same field: "Example"  in  "Name1".

I would like to be able to have the possibility to write down on every sheet "Name1", "Name2", "Name3", without having to go every time and create a new shared parameter. I don't know how many sheets I am going to create for every new project.

If cannot be done with the shared parameters, is there any other way?

Sincerly thanks

George

Either you can already do this or I am misunderstanding what you are wanting to do.

Is "Name1", "Name2" a filler for "Floor Plan", "Ceiling Plan"? Or is it filler for "Floor Plan 1", "Floor Plan 2", etc? Or something else?

Can you just be a bit more descriptive, and provide an actual example?

If a set a Shared parameter named Ar.Sxediou, I would like on every different Sheet like: 1-Plans, 2-Section and every other I will create, to be able to have in 1-Plans: A1   into 2-Section: A2  and in the next that I will create A3, A4 and so on....

So you're wanting to automatically assign the first part of the sheet number based on what's on the sheet?

I think I understand now, but now I'm curious as to why this is necessary. Maybe its just how we set up our sheets, but it seems like this would take just as much work to set up as it would to manually assign sheet numbers.

Hello mhiserZFHXS, no I do not what to assign it automaticly. I would like to have the possibility to create a Shared Parameter, named as an example: "TypeofPlan" and insert it with a text label on my template sheet. After that, every time I put the cursor of the mouse on the field "TypeofPlan", I can write whatever I want. Now in the next sheet I would like to have the possibility to write something different, but if it's a shared parameter like now, Revit change automaticly the field with the last my modification, in all sheets. Hope I could explain myself.

Ah. It sounds like you're not setting up your parameters correctly then.

Did you make it an instance parameter? That's the first thing I can think of.

Change the category of the parameter from 'Project Information' to 'Sheets'.

Keep the parameter as instance. Each sheet can then have a different value.

When the parameter is set to 'Project Information'  (even if it is an Instance parameter) you can only have 1 value per project.

Thank you very much Mr. Lachlan-JWP,

changing the parameter in 'Sheets' like you suggest, I have tryed and works very well.

Very good!!!!

Thanks again

@lim.wendy this idea should be moved to the revit forums as a question that has been answered.
