Copy Command - Set to Multiple as 'Default'

Please check 'Multiple' box as default.

99 times out of 100 I copy multiple rather that one off items.

Yes, that post captures more of the instances which are almost, or just as frustrating (I couldn't quite remember them at the time of my post).

Thanks Jon. I have voted for it.

You can already do this. Simply select "Multiple" the first time you copy something in a project and Revit remembers your preference.

Only for the remainder of each session. It resets each time.

My suggestion is that it is checked as a default upon opening - whereby the user needs to uncheck should they wish not to copy multiple.

As the Link in Jon's post above highlights - this should most likely be the case with a lot of other functions also - (Constrain, Mirror/Copy etc)

Just to confirm, in the event that Moderators read all posts - the converse would in my opinion be applicable to constrain and Mirror (a copy)

These should both be unchecked as a default.

It should just remember settings across sessions, as suggested in this post: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/maintain-user-settings/idi-p/6642314

The same as me. I usually use multiple copies.

I mean this one is such no-brainer. AutoCAD used to have this "feature" too years ago until smarter minds prevailed.

This really needs to be a thing. Just give us a button on the green bar, so we can make our choices and then 'Set as Default'.

our office uses spot elevations without shoulders. and it's always on by default - its really hard to convert AutoCAD users to Revit when simple things like system variables are missing.

Status changed to: Accepted

Congrats! We think this is a great idea, so we've decided to add it to our roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!
