colour overrides to be exported to NWC and IFC

While exporting to Navisworks or IFC formats the color overrides are lost.

which leads to very tricky sometimes.

The work around being applying material makes the files heavier to use in revit.

If we can retain the color overrides it will be great.(if not for Navisworks at least for IFC)

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.

@sasha.crotty Is this a completely dead request? We coordinate in Navisworks with models exported from Revit and although .dwfs retain color overrides, they don't provide as much of the family data an .nwc would. Having both in an .nwc would be nice. 

Changing material appearances in the source Revit file is not a feasible option most of the time.

@Anonymous , strictly speaking no idea is ever dead. This idea was auto archived because it received only 5 votes in 6+ months. You're welcome to file a new similar idea. That said, I would recommend splitting it into 2 (IFC & NWC) because they're completely different code bases and therefore would be prioritized separately. The NWC version of the request can be filed in this forum.
