Change Shared Parameter Groups in families

When changing Shared Parameters to another Group in the Family Editor, the Shared Parameter changes to another group in the parameter list in the Family Types, but when loading the family in the project, the parameter keeps it's original Group.

We would like to have this editable, so the Shared Parameter can be changed to other groups like Family Parameters.

When you create a shared parameter, you get one chance to name it properly, make sure it is of the correct type, and add a tool tip. This makes some sense, since this will be shared for an entire project. Since the Revit project locks down the category for your shared parameter based on the first family loaded, it might as well lock it down when you create the parameter.

 I am not convinced that the category (or the tool tip for that matter) are necessary to maintain identical for all instances of a single shared parameter. As long as the name and type are the same, they will tag and schedule the same.

Autodesk, please let us control the category (and maybe tool tip) for each family separately. Barring that, at least don't let us be fooled into thinking that we can use different categories. Worse than that is using a shared parameter in a new family weeks, months, or years later and not remembering what category was assigned originally. That makes the "Shared" part of the project completely random, depending on what family is loaded first.

FYI: you can change a shared parameter group for the entire project in the Schedule Fields dialog. But you're right: it can't be different per family.
