Change revision on multiple sheets

Change revision on multiple sheets

Another basic functionality to the revisions on sheets could be added - the 'Revisions on Sheets Button' should not disappear when selecting multiple sheets so we could change the revisions on multiple sheets with two clicks  instead like now have to click  each sheet individually and change revision.

(Copying a smal revision cloud is something we dont really like in case someone suggests that or dynamo)

Idea was mentioned already somewhere in the comments section so credit goes to:

-Multiple selection of sheets to change revisions with "Revisions on sheet" button.

Currently, there is no way other than going to each sheet manually to add a revision to it. We should get the option to select multiple sheets, and set revisions to multiple at once. We currently have an Audio Visual job that consists of over 90 sheets, and it becomes very tiresome and inconvenient to have to go to each sheet and manually add a revision to it every time changes are made.

The ability to Shift+Select multiple sheets and set the revision this way would be priceless and a huge time saver. Currently the only way to do so is through a paid, 3rd party application. I believe it should just be built into revit.

When you have hundreds of sheet you dont want to do it manually.
Yes there is Dynamo or other addons, but Revisions management on sheet should be a priority.

YES PLEASE!

We use Xrev Transmit to do this, cheap and effective.

We can also print multiple PDFs in batches as well as use multiple Shared Parameters to name the PDF file.

The whole revision system in Revit needs an update, it is far too simple. BS1192 filenames are required for UK BIM lvl 2 standard projects.

It would be awesome if you could add a new revision to multiple sheets in a much easier way.

Right now, one must click on each individual sheet and "Add to revision schedule".

It would be nice if you could  either do the same action from a bulk selection of sheets or in the revision management panel, there was an option to add a new revision to a selectable list of sheets. Or both.

Thanks!

I used RTVPro for this.

Please make these parameters schedulable so we can manually adjust them in a schedule!!!

Also, when a revision is issued it would be usefull to not be able to remove it from a sheet since it is send for coordination or bidding.

FYI, another option is the Project Setup tool (Manage Sheets tab) that allows you to set or unset these values for all selected or filtered sheets.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OecZ-h6rQhw

Users should be able to highlight multiple sheets in the Project Browser and Edit Revisions for those sheets all at once, rather than manually clicking through each one.

Oops! Thanks @lionel.kai for correcting!

Revision + Cloud Manager available in the Autodesk App store. $15.00, but has saved our firm thousands. Does much more than just let you add revisions to multiple sheets at one time.

This function would be brilliant if it could be done via the Sheet Schedule, where users have already a visual list of Revisions next to each sheet name/no.

This is something that should've been changed a long time ago. Select multiple sheets and allow for revisions to be applied to all of those sheets. If you have a large package of drawings and have to applies a revision to all of them its super repetitive to have to do this for each sheet.

would you please add an example? what do you mean revisions?

An example would be if for example if I had shop release and it was 70 pages. I need to issue this shop release for construction. Each sheet will need to have this in the revision schedule on their respective sheet. With Revit's current work flow I need to go to each of the 50 sheet go to "Revisions on Sheet" in the Properties Palette, click edit and then click the check mark to add the revision to that schedule. You can see how repetitive and time consuming this is. Would make more sense to be able select all sheets of that shop release, click edit and add the Revision to all sheets in one click.
