BUG Localized version of Default Elevation not working for formulas

BUG Localized version of Default Elevation not working for formulas

I just found that I could not use the Default Elevation value coming from an out-of-the-box family template by Autodesk because the translation contains a hyphen. Default Elevation became Vorgabe-Ansicht in German. Sadly the formula routine reads this as Vorgabe minus Ansicht and complains that formulas are case senstive despite me having copied the value via the clipboard. This may be an error in just the German localization but you never know. The space between Default and Elevation works fine. As a work-around you can revert to using templates from the original localization.

Found this in Revit 2022.

Using the work-around I mentioned, I found that re-loading the family file prepared with the US version into the German environment, automatically converted the faulty parameter name by putting square brackets around it. This is probably considered a feature then.

@MiWolff, what are you doing that the name of an elevation in a family is being used in a formula?  Is this some function I've never heard of?  Obviously we want to get this translation bug fixed, but what is it you are trying to do?  I'm really curious!

@Ric_Weber I was modelling a rectangular spout cutting through a wall. While the wall opening is as large as the spout itself, the spout had to have a hole in it as well. That hole needed to start a millimeter above the default elevation.20251023 15_58_52-Autodesk Revit 2022 - [A22_Algm_LoroSpeier_.rfa - Elevation_ Platzierungsseite].png
