Problem: During the design process, I frequently add, delete, or shuffle rooms around. When I do so, I often have to go back and renumber each room, one at a time. This becomes a very tedious process.
Proposed Solution: It would be a significant time-saver if Revit included some features to automatically re-number rooms. If I'm viewing a room schedule and I want to add a new room, an "Insert New Room" feature could "push" all rows past the selected row up one number (similar to "insert row" in Microsoft Excel). For example, if I have rooms 101 through 150 and I want to add a room between 109 and 110, I could "insert" a new room at that point and room numbers 110 through 150 would all increase by one in sequence.
Similarly, if I'm viewing a room schedule and there are gaps in the sequence, I would like to be able to select rows and automatically reorder/organize the numbers, or "shift" all selected room numbers up/down.
