Allow wall sweeps to be located outside of their host

Status:

The title says everything.
When trying to apply a vertical wall sweep to the external corners of walls, the following error occurs;

"Could not create Wall Sweep. The sweep position is outside of its wall. Please check sweep parameters"

Why can't wall sweeps move beyond their host the same as any other hosted object?
