Allow Export and Import of Panel Schedule Templates and other model settings

You'd be hard pressed to find something more infuriating in all of computing than working with Revit Panel Schedule Templates.

This could easily be remedied if Revit would allow Templates to be exported into some format that could be editted separately from Revit's horrible Panel Schedule Template Editor.  If it came out as CSV or some other non-binary text format we could at least make it do what we want.

Also this would allow the export and import of these without using Transfer Project Standards, which is like using a sledgehammer to drive a tack.  See also the problem of duplicates which I reference in this Idea: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/add-option-to-transfer-project-standards-to-eliminate-ite...

This same feature could really help with lots of other things like text styles, line styles, wire settings, etc.  Allowing a dump to a simple text file or CSV would make Revit so much more usable.

In general Revit could really benefit from opening up its file formats and metadata to promote interoperability with other tools.

Would it be possible to have the ability to Export the Electrical Panel Schedules from within Revit to other software like Excel.

Creating circuits in Revit is a very manual and one-by-one process right now.... It would be *GREAT* if we could do batch creation and other operations.  It would be good to be able to export a panel schedule to a CSV or other text format, that we could then import back into Revit.

BTW:  As it stands creating circuits requires us to have an item in the circuit...so this requirement would have to be eliminated.

In other words you'd have to be able to create empty electrical circuits

This would help us doing projects that are typical.  It'd also be helpful when doing multiple panels that are similar.

Example text format:

---------------------------------------

PANEL NAME:   N1

MAIN TRIP:  200A

MAIN FRAME: 225A

BUS RATING: 225A

COMMENTS:  ""

LOCATION: <Electrical Equipment/Location>   //Could indicate Revit Parameters here

MOUNTING: SURFACE

LOADS

1:  20A, LIGHTING AREA 1

2:  20A, LIGHTING AREA 2

...

30-34: 20A, SPARE

35: SPACE

...

42: SPACE

---------------------------------------

These two ideas are not the same thing.  One is for Panel Schedule Templates.  One is for Panel Schedule Contents (Circuit contents / Loads / Spares/etc).

These should not be combined.

As mentioned here initially, Revit 2018 currently has the Export-Reports-Schedules grayed out. I've looked into this now on two different computers thinking maybe it was some sort of security access that I didn't have to install an update or something on my work computer. But now I'm on my personal computer and experiencing the same issue with all the updates installed. Still no solution here it seems?
