I would like to be able to remove elements from a family template once a family has been made using it. My firm is starting to update some family templates to match new firm standards, and we want to be able to add information to the template for people to refer to and then delete. See the screenshot of our detail item family template for example.
The way we have to make our templates is by making a normal family and then changing the extension to .rft. According to the article below, this method locks all the elements once a new family is created. The workaround mentioned only works if you want permanent changes to the family template.
Please fix this, or make a more robust way to make/edit family templates.
