Did you mean:

Allow changing elements if it changes elements in all group instance

Allow changing elements if it changes elements in all group instance

If I need to change type to 100 family instance but 4 of them are in groups revit will not allow you to do so.

Revit will allow you to change type if the group only has one instance but not if it has more than one instance.

Real life example: High rise building, curtain walls are grouped per level and repeated. I need to replace a curtain panel with a different type but revit does not allow me to do even though after replacement all groups would be the same.

Revit should realize that the change you want to do affects all group instances, then edit the group itself to do the change. Once done drop a message that this happened. Similar to when you change a group with only one instance.
