I believe it would be nice to be able to have a tool to "align parallel" so that one, perhaps when using the align tool in a sketch or even when modeling, can select a toggle for "parallel" in which the second (and more) elements selected are rotated about their midpoint to be parallel with the first selected item.
So, instead of the secondary items moving to match the first input, the object would rotate to be parallel with it. Perpendicular might also be helpful.
