There needs to be an alert that notifies the user when there is a change to a view placed on a sheet. When a view is placed on a sheet, after it has been annotated and reviewed/approved by engineering, then there needs to be a way to know with confidence that the view has not changed afterwards. Perhaps after being reviewed, there could be a check box on the view properties that says the view is final and if any model elements change, disappear, or new elements show up, then there should be some kind of alert to let the user know to look into why the view has changed.
We've lost countless hours on many projects fixing views that have already been completed and approved only to find out later on that something unintentionally moved, or changed, or a new element was added that now fouls up the view.
You shouldn't have to go through every view with a fine tooth comb after they're done to make sure nothing has changed since the last print every time a new print of the drawing set is to be made. Such a huge waste of productivity by both the reviewers and the modelers/drafters.
Advance Steel has this functionality and Revit would be greatly improved by having this functionality.
Otherwise, Revit is great for our projects.
