I agree with @dgorsman on it being automatic and continual being too much, but I do like the thought of AI helping us out here. Perhaps giving us the options of "automatically put a wall opening" where a duct or pipe is running through a wall. Or "automatically put in shaft opening" where the a pipe or duct goes through a floor, ceiling or roof. Things like that would be a great use of AI, I think.
there should be an option to turn it off. and also an option to ignore certain elements or categories. for example, if I run a pipe through a wall, it is implied that there will be a wall opening. but for a structural element, it should warn me. it also should differentiate between architectural and structural walls/columns etc.
