Currently Revit has no way to control texture from stretching or align them properly. It would be great if Revit has a way to control the texture easily without resort to manually adjust the offset tile. See the Sample below
I'm not familiar with the 'UV texture', but incorporating the full material function of 3DSMax into Revit would be a huge step forward, for rendering functionality.
Aside from that there is a huge issue with how Revit allows/disallows textures and patterns to be aligned on even the most rudimentary forms like rectangular walls, for example below image:
