please give us option to have separate values for view range for linked file. Lets say you are working on a structural model. You need to have an architectural walls and other elements from linked file visible for loading purposes but these need not be overlaying structural elements. Currently if you dont have linked view in architectural model and choose underlay, Revit will show architectural elements under and as solid line (basic not understanding from revit developers here for requirements for structural drawings). If you dont choose underlay, the architectural elements will many times hide structural elements.
