We’re using assembly to document the design of our Electrical equipment and suspension sets, etc.
Most of the time those types of electrical equipment’s and suspension sets are almost identical but comes with slight changes that needs to be documented (same equipment with additional connectors, small dimensions differences, text description difference etc…).
Because of the current assembly behavior, in this situation we need to create a new assembly for each new types and recreate the views and sheets from scratch.
Recreating the sheets for each type is particularly time consuming.
We’d like to be able to duplicate an assembly to create a new assembly, edit the assembly content, and keep the views and sheets with the updated content.
With such a feature we wouldn’t have to recreate the sheets for each new types which would allow us to save hours in our workflows.
There is an addin that currently exists and that those exactly that “EZAssembly”

We’d like to have that as native features inside Revit.
Thanks
