Please add in general (for: walls, ceilings, floors, filled regions, profiles, mullions, ...) a purge function for editing profiles.
Revit is able to detect and give a warning when a profile is not closed. So it can't be very difficult to add a button with a function to delete all "lost" (already detectable) lines.
It should also be possible to add button with a function to automatic close the profile. When two "free" endpoints are in predefined zone (within radius X) the Trim/Extend function will be automatically executed.
