ADD MISSING KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS - (please submit any missing shortcut functionality below)

There are many commands that have no associated keyboard shortcuts, this idea is made to address the scattered ideas on missing command shortcuts. Please submit your shortcut requests below so they are all gathered and organised in one place.

In my experience, one thing most of these commands have in common is that they are only found in buttons on toolbars, menus, windows, the properties panel or project browser, but no keyboard shortcuts was associated to them.

One useful shortcut I use all the time is DE for "pick to edit design option". But to return to the Main model I still have to select "Main model" from the design option drop down list. Does anybody know if it's possible to map the "Finish editing design option" function to a keyboard shortcut?

@VM_Jekabs You're going to love this.

I believe credit goes to Paul Aubin for this tip, but I learned it years ago and can't quite remember.

I use KK (as in, 'k' for "oKay") for Finish and XX (like the 'X' button to close windows) for Cancel for all "Contextual Tab" workflows. Use at least two letters so you don't accidentally commit or cancel a change. Neither shortcut is mapped for other functions out of the box, so they're perfect for the task.

To implement, search Keyboard Shortcuts for "finish" and "cancel" to find the commands.

Other contextual shortcuts I use daily:

PL : Pick Lines during sketching

RC: Rectangle shape during sketching

Things that don't have mappings available:
Elements in the green command toolbars below the ribbon like Copy (Multiple checkbox), Mirror (Copy checkbox), Rotate (Disjoin checkbox, Copy checkbox, Center of rotation: Place button (RO,P)).

@pobrienFNE96 Thank you for your reply, I had already mapped every "Finish" action to a keyboard shortcut but unfortunately "Finish editing design option" isn't on that list. I was hoping there would be some kind of a workaround, perhaps involving dynamo or revit api.

The closest I've got is mapping a shortcut to open the design option window, and then while holding down alt, press F to finish and then C to close the window.

But all of the things you mentioned actually have keyboard shortcuts:

Multiple copy, mirror copy, rotate copy - just hold ctrl, that toggles the copy checkbox

Center of rotation - press space bar

@VM_Jekabs Ctrl changes Copy into a Move (and vice versa) - it doesn't toggle the "Multiple" checkbox (as @pobrienFNE96 noted). But thanks also for the Spacebar tip!

3d aka jump to 3d view surprisingly does not have a default shortcut.  I use 33 & many ppl use that custom shortcut as far as I can tell.
