Add customizing balusters to help files

I'm trying to make a custom baluster and I can't find any documentation on how the baluster families behave. I want info straight from the developer on how balusters behave. The help files describe how to make a baluster pattern, but I need to know how to customize the baluster itself.

The questions that need answering are:

  • How does the baluster bottom get set relative to the stair run, tread, or nosing line or landing or stringer and the baluster top get set relative to the top rail or offset from host?
  • How does the baluster orient itself relative to the rest of the railing?
  • Can I set something relative to the stair nosing line which the Rail Structure of a railing uses, so that details of the baluster can be consistently coordinated with the rails of the railing?
  • What about when a baluster is acting as a corner post between a stair run and a landing, so one side is interacting with sloping elements, and the other half is interacting with level elements?

I know there are lots of calls for railings to have an overhaul and I've seen several requests from the factory for specific railing improvement ideas, so this is a request to simply document the existing features and functionality of balusters.
