Revit should allow users to convert an existing solid form directly into a void form, and vice versa.
Currently, if a solid extrusion, blend, revolve, sweep, or swept blend needs to become a void, the geometry generally has to be recreated as the corresponding void form. This is unnecessary when the profile, path, constraints, dimensions, parameters, and resulting geometry already exist.
Add a command such as:
Convert Form → Solid / Void
The conversion should preserve:
This would make family creation and editing significantly faster and eliminate the need to rebuild identical geometry simply because the form type was created incorrectly or the design intent changed.
Ideally, it could work like changing a property: Form Type: Solid / Void.
