Add a View Template Button to the User Interface

Add a View Template Button to the User Interface

Can you add a View Template Button to one of the toolbars at the bottom of the screen. Scrolling in the properties to find the view template is very inefficient and it is confusing to find for a frequently used tool. This has to be readily accessible if possible 🙂 vt-button.png

The big button on the top ribbon under the View Tab isn't enough?

@Anonymous it takes you to manage view templates. The idea is to the have the view template currently active in the view accessible on the immediate UI. There also isnt an option to open the view template on the current view as a keyboard shortcut. its a bit disconnected

Ahh.. So you're talking about EDITING the View Template.

I thought you wanted to change the assigned VT & was wondering why you were changing that so many times.

Editing it makes sense.

Here here!

Also you need to add the same button to the view graphics screen where it's all greyed out due to a template applied.  Instead of greying everything out, SAY THERE'S A TEMPLATE APPLIED AND GIVE ME A BUTTON TO EDIT IT.  Don't make me hit cancel, scroll down, find that stupid button....aaaarrrrggg

/end rant

While we're complaining, why don't we redesign that POS properties window! The name of the view is down two pages.  The view template is down a page.  There's a hundred items that are greyed out when there's a template applied.  It's a goddamned UI crime against humanity!

Why don't you try adding custom keyboard shortcut?

@Anonymous it only allows you to create a keyboard shortcut for "Manage View Templates". which doesnt directly correlate with editing the view template of that view.

That would be the best solution, that they let you add a shortcut.
