Ability to create material takeoff that contains all stair surfaces in Revit

With the permission of one of the customers, I wanted to present an enhancement request for Revit. Currently in Revit it is not possible to create a material takeoff to have listed materials for side areas and under stairs.

It would be nice to add such possibility to have full control and list of materials that are assigned to all stair surfaces.

For doing take-offs, it's possible to paint the needed surfaces and create a material schedule. We've done this to calculate areas for formwork, which looks as though may be the goal in the picture.
