Many times we need a element to be placed by a curve, straight line, circle, on inclined planes, following a polyline, contourning a 3D form, etc. Usually we need to report the length of these elemetns.
While we have some tools who archieve this, and can be made by InPlace modeling, it's very time consuming, and remove the possibility to automate the process, a generic family template would be a nice adition.
It would be a Generic Model line based but can be placed on curves, and direct on 3D elements, like the image:
