3d section box

What made AD think that if I used the 3d section box tool (bx) that I would not also want to section off whatever else was attached to my model. The whole excercise is a bit pointless if you end up with a marker pointing to a pixel on an otherwise blank screen. To replicate this, think of a large industrial plant building (ARC) and you want to isolate your view to a single one inch valve (Systems).

I propose to enhance the 3d section to cover whatever Revit would otherwise show in its 3d view window.

Alternative description:

Please make it so that the Selection Box (BX) command zooms to the extent of the Section Box, when it changes the extent of said Section Box.

I genuinely didn't know what you were trying to say in your original post, the comment was extremely helpful though.

While I was being reminded of a normal human being presented with the total perspective vortex (oneself an invisible dot on an invisible dot), taking into account the size of the actual section box when determining the size of the pointer could do the trick. I mean even the make things editable symbol is larger than the model geometry.
