hi

i have a wall with a finish layer both sides.

i saw that the finish layers know to covers columns as well,

the weird thing is that in 1 level it looks good while in another level it looks like the wall can't see the columns.

The only weird thing I see is the Wall Wrap at the end of the Walls meeting the Column.

....maybe a better approach would be to make the wall continuous and not start and stop wall segments at the Columns.

Use Join geometry to join walls and columns.  By the way, why do you choose RTE and not RVT format for your project?

hi

i don't understand the join idea.

The columns and walls made of different materials,

if everything needs to be joined, what is the use of join? Why it doesn't  do it automatically?

Thanks

Only few things can join automatically (wall to wall, wall to architectural column). Walls do not join automatically to structural columns so if you need to do it manually.

Draw the walls continously overlapping the structural columns. Make the columns shorter than the walls. Join walls and columns.

Those are the widths.  You need to make the column height < the wall height, and set the roof plan's Cut Plane to be above the top of the walls.
