To All Users,
This is a two-part question similar to a question regarding “Views & Visibility Graphics”…
Just wanted to find out if it is still possible to create a view, or regional plan, (partial plan), if a REVIT file had been “Locked-Down”? Seems I am unable to use the View Template tab, or Rt.Click to create a view to insert into my sheet file. I just need a simple floor plan showing the walls and the new equipment in plan view.
This leads to my 2nd question which is similar to a question I had last week which is why am I unable to change the annotation status of some of my floor plans? As I stated above, I only need to show the walls & the new equipment. The existing annotations dimensions, notes, section tags and call outs are blocking areas where I need to show information (electrical switches, outlets, etc., etc.,) and re-tag / dimensions for the tradesperson to use on my shop drawing / sheet.
I know this may seem easy or trivial to the power users. It just seems as if I test something in the REVIT templates or the REVIT Sample Project no problem. Things seem to work. When I open a live or working project, the rules for editing or creation just seem to not work. Also just wondering (no pun intended) Can a Lock-Down Prevent Editing?
Floor Plan 01 no Annotations
Floor Plan 02 Annotations blocking
