Sun Path not visible in Plan views

When I click on the sun path in the plan view, it just displays 2 perpendicular lines and the time, but the sun path with the yellow sun path line is not visible. But it works fine in the 3D view. What is going on?

Uncrop the view.

How do you get rid of the sun path lines in plan view?

Click on the Sun icon and turn it off.
