Revit 2017 - Family text different size/width than project text

Revit 2017 - I noticed that text created in a generic annotation family that is nested into a detail item revit family is a different size/width than text in my project. We have a font called Architext Bold that we use, when I create text in the generic annotation family and load it into my project, the text is bolder and smaller than the same font in the project. In the image below, you can see that both text properties are the same, and the text in the box is the family text (smaller and bolder) than the text in the project located just below it. Why are the sizes different, the text properties are the exact same?!?!?!?

I have tried messing with the width properties and bold properties in the generic annotation but cant get it to match.

Has anyone noticed this too? Anyone know why its happening?Project Text.PNGText Varies.PNGLabel Text.PNG

If it’s Revit 2017 I can only suggest getting the latest patch.
We skipped 2017 entirely because we didn’t want to deal with this issue!
Maybe upgrade to 2018.2? 😊

I have just installed Revit 2018.2 in the hope that it could solve the problem - but unfortunately not.

It means that i must go throw all my sheet familys, tags, schedule an so on in my template - if there is no solutions to this problem, ore I must wait for a 2018.3 version.

We have also skipped 2017 version in my company.

I'm currently using revit 2017.2 and windows 10 and the family text issue is still ongoing. Its unfortunate to hear that even in revit 2018.2 the issue is still unresolved. Why is this so hard for the programmers to figure out ?!?!?!?!?

Why is this taking so long to resolve and why would the revit programmers change the way revit "reads" text in the first place?

If I or if anyone else can find a solution, please reply to this tread since it appears there are several users confirming the same issue I'm having.

Thank you,

Ron

We’re using Windows 10 Pro, Oct2017 ‘Creators Update’, and Revit 2018.2. We haven’t had any issue with fonts since the 2018.1.1 patch came out. If you’re still having issues I’d raise it with Autodesk directly

I still have issues.

Please check my front page in all my project – I have just printed a PDF from Revit 2016 and Revit 2018.3.

It is easy to see the different. What can I do to fix the problem?

As far as I know, there is no fix. We had to update all of our families with text. So annoying that people makes changes, edits to, or update the revit program and they are not even actual users of the program. Why would Autodesk change/update anything that has to do with text sizing!?!  It amazes me for how awesome a program is, there are always people changing it that have no idea what the new changes will do to the users.
