Revit 2017 - I noticed that text created in a generic annotation family that is nested into a detail item revit family is a different size/width than text in my project. We have a font called Architext Bold that we use, when I create text in the generic annotation family and load it into my project, the text is bolder and smaller than the same font in the project. In the image below, you can see that both text properties are the same, and the text in the box is the family text (smaller and bolder) than the text in the project located just below it. Why are the sizes different, the text properties are the exact same?!?!?!?
I have tried messing with the width properties and bold properties in the generic annotation but cant get it to match.
Has anyone noticed this too? Anyone know why its happening?

Yes, the family text prints bolder and looks much darker, its noticeable.
Could you share your RVT file - I will try to reproduce this issue and check on Revit2018. On which OS are you sitting? Are you up to date with Revit2017?
Thanks,

Thank you for reaching out to try and resolve this. Yes, all revit 2017 updates are installed and my computer specs are attached as well as a revit 2017 model. You can see in the level 1 view, I have inserted the family, under the revit family is text within the project, you can see the size difference and you can see that the family text is also bolder than the project text.
I'm sorry if I misunderstood you.
Your only comment on this issue was "I THINK they fixed this in 2018"
Usually when someone says "I think" and doesn't follow up with confirmation, a personal experience or documentation, it means exactly that, you "think" it maybe a revit 2018 fix and you are not sure.
But it sounds like you are pretty sure its fixed in 2018. Sorry for the confusion on my part. I guess when someone says "I think", I'll just "assume" that they know what they are talking about.
Cheers
Thanks for very much testing this issue. Please let us know for updates.
Thanks for sharing your files. I still want to confirm if you have the service pack 2017.2 installed.
Can you try another font and see if the same issue occurs?

Thank you for your help! Yes, I have the latest service pack installed, thanks for checking and yes, we have tried other fonts and still get the same results. It appears that this was fixed in 2018, so not much we can do I think.
If anything changes on your end please let me know.
Thanks for confirming!
Can you specify your windows version? Also did you install recent add-ins, and is this font issue specific to one project/ one user?
Sure, we will troubleshoot and let you know for updates and a resolution. Adding @pawel.romaniuk

Operating system is attached. Yes, this is with all users. All detail item families that have generic annotation nested families have this issue, text is bolder and a different size, even though the text properties are the exact same.
Thanks for the prompt reply!
We will let you know for updates. Feel free to follow up to @Viveka_CD and @pawel.romaniuk

Hi @Viveka_CD
Revit 18.0.1.2 20170421_2315(x64) 2018.0.1 it seems to be fixed.
Revit 17.0.501.0 20160720_1515(x64) Service Pack 2

It's NOT fixed in Revit 2018.0.2 - at least not consistently.
We have some machines with this problem despite following all of the "fixes" that have been reported.
Most, but not all, of the machines with the issue are Windows 7; most, but not all are accessed by RDP. This is a very inconsistsent bug, as fixes that appear to work on one machine, don't work on another machine with the same specs. Which leads me to believe NONE of the fixes are working, and this bug is very random.
And an update to my previous post - it's NOT fixed in Revit 2018.1 either!
To be clear - this is in Windows 7. Its a major problem, most of our office runs W7.
A few machines run W10, and a few of them have this issue, but not all of them. Same setups, I won't go into detail, but I've checked all the snake oil fixes already like screen resolution, ensuring feng shui is good, etc.
Hi @Anonymous
Let me test it on WIN7 and I will come back to you.
Results - Revit 2018.1 18.1.0.92 20170630_0700(x64) + WIN10

Hey Pawel.
I have recently installed Revit 2018.2, and I still have the same problem with Text and Labels.
Text and Labels are wider in Revit 2018.2 - can it be fixed?
