Recent Documents-Pinned File

Does anybody now if there is an available fix for RECENT DOCUMENTS pull down PIN feature not working?  There are a couple of files that I have tried to PIN on this pull down, for rapid access, and after a few weeks of not opening these files they disappear from the list defeating the purpose of the PINNING feature.  Please, see attached screen shot.

1.Sometimes if the files are renamed in the folder, then they disappear from recent list ( pinned or unpinned )

2. Central files cannot be pinned cause we create local files while opening.

3.I know am diverting from the " pinned file " subject but Easy way is to,  save the folder " Add Current folder to Places "

to access recent files and projects.

Hope that helps for the time being till that pinned file issue is identified...

Cheers!

Thanks for the response but, neither proposed solutions number one and two are the case and number three doesn't even apply.  Cheers!

@Anonymous - I too have the same issue. I just posted an Idea about it.

I apologize for the bad link, Autodesk seems to have trouble making my links work within Forum posts. It will probably work eventually...

If you just search "Recent File Pins don't work" on the Revit Ideas, you should see a post from me on it.

The link still doesn't work.  Kind of ironic, the link for a possible solution of a feature (another one) of Revit that doesn't work - doesn't work either! Thanks for the effort, anyway.

Couldn't find your post, your idea post that is.  I did find your original post stating the problem but, couldn't find the one about a possible solution.  I'll try the link again at a later time.  Thank you for the effort.  Cheers.

This is still an issue. -I'm having the same problem in Revit 2022.1.2
I've tested this on a single family. The file has not been renamed. the folder has not been renamed. and the folder has not been moved to another path.
It seems that the pinning stays on when closing and starting a new session, but after restarting windows it vanishes. the family is still in the recent files, but the pin is gone. so if I open multiple families the file will disappear from the recent list and I have to browse for it again.

I just tested this in Revit 2023, and the same issue is here. I pinned a family. -then opened 15 other families to fill up the recent file window. -Then  I closed Revit and restarted windows. When opening Revit 2023 and selecting the file menu the pinned family is gone.
