Print Setup Changes are Not Transferring

Anyone have a fix or workaround for this?

Revit 2017.1.1 (don't know about other versions)

Transferring Print Standards from one project to another does not update changed settings in Print Setup with the same name.

  1. Open two Projects containing Print Setups with the same name
  2. Select "R | Print"
  3. Select your printer
  4. Select "Settings | Setup..."
  5. Select your Print Setup name
  6. Make a change such as "Paper Size" or "Hide Crop Boundaries"
  7. Select "Save" to save the Print Setup changes to the project
  8. Select "OK" to close the Print Setup dialog
  9. Select "Close" to close the Print dialog
  10. Go to the other project
  11. Select "Manage | Settings | Transfer Project Standards"
  12. Verify "Copy from:" is the project with the changed Print Setup
  13. Select "Check None"
  14. Select "Print Settings" and "OK"

There is no message about settings with duplicate names. The settings changed in the Print Setup with the same name are not changed.

New Print Setups do transfer.

Did you save the source project?

Have tried it with and without saving the source project. Same result.

Did you get a different result?

Development is aware of this and it will require a code change to address. In the meantime we suggest checking both file prior to Transfer Project Standards, if you have the same print setting names change one, then transfer.
