No Plot Objects

Is there a way to have "no plot" objects like notes on sheets/views?

i.e. I'd like to make notes to myself + my team without being able to see them when we print  -- detail this, add this, etc.

Revit is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) So the answer is no, if you can see it in the view it will print. That's how it should work. If you are marking up then you should use a mark up program such as BIM 360 Doc's which can then be assigned to someone to address and track the progress.

Don't abuse Revit by trying to use it like CAD with Defpoints layers, it simply doesn't work that way.

Alternatively you could create a duplicate view and do your mark up there, however this will only address modelling issues and not annotation issues as these are view dependent.

You could make a generic annotation with a global visibility parameter to switch them off.

Otherwise, do PDF them and add your comments over there.

How do I get to print these crossed out rooms then? The only way I found to do that was making screen shots.

This is not meant as a trap. To check plans and the models that make them, it would be beneficial if guiding features such as the curly from-here-to-there thing (Room Calculation Point) that doors have, would appear in print. Also rooms that do not 'fill' their surrounding walls are sometimes tedious to work on on screen.
