Linked models and VG overrides

OK, I have managed to convert all my model groups over to linked models.  (6 apartment unit types).  I need to turn off all levels in each linked model.  is there an easy way to do this or do I need to change the display settings for each model from By Host View to Custom and then Anno and turn off Levels?

I guess creating a view (section and elevation) to hide the levels within each linked model, turn off the levels in the annotation so I can just select the Linked View

I would put all the linked model levels in a separate workset, so I can create a filer for the level not to show.

does it matter what the level height in the linked model?  main model 1st floor level is at 262' 1" but the linked model is 89' 2".

Not really, you can filter the levels by workset, not necessary by elevation.

Using worksets for visibility is not good practice. That is relying on additional user input. There are more BIMmy ways to filter.

I know we can also create new project parameters to filter, it's extra work but you are right, maybe workset is not the way to go. Do you have a better solution? or just here to critic XD.

Unlike what was said in that other response to this question, differing elevations can be a problem depending on how much coordination needs to happen. It's going to look pretty funny when someone looks at an elevation and your linked model is 173' lower that it should be.

OK, here is another question regarding the linked models.  is there a way to set each linked model (copied to multiple floor levels) to a specific level i.e. for model groups, when selected it will show [origin level offset = 0' 0" ].  can this be shown for for linked models?

Please ignore my previous post about differing elevations. This thread is getting muddied with different topics and I confused it with another type of project. You will have to be the judge on the subject of elevation. I would tend to think that there should be some sort of correlation between the values so that your most recent question can be feasible.
