Intersection of two Curves

Hi

 

I need help with this cloister dome. In the conceptual mass environment I've created two simple curves that intersect. 

How can I 'break' them and delete/hide some bits of it? (maked in red in the images below)

you can use one or more extruded Voids to Cut your Mass Element

...a rough example of using a Void to cut a mass and then to compose a more complex one using nested family....
