How to Model A Curved Ramp of Irregular Shape ?

How to model this curved ramp with different widths?

Do it as a floor, then elevate the end edge to the desired elevation.

Do you mean use sub elements? How can I control the slope along the center line?

Architecture > Ramp > select the two long edges as boundaries and the two short edges as risers.

there are some different methods to do this...

  1. one , is just to use the Ramp , but the result is not quite satisfactory , in my opinion
  2. another one is to use Floors with Modify Sub Elements , as Alfredo suggests - I. also prefer this method
  3. and finally you can use Mass and Roof by Face with a similar result as method 2 but with more work..

I've attached a rough screencast that shows the method 3 ( compared with other 2 )

I got the error messages as below shown, not sure if it is because the two long edges are not continuous lines, but consist of two segments (curve + straight line) respectively, not sure how to make a continuous line in Revit such as polyline in AutoCad.

Model it as one ramp may show some undesired warp.  I would do it as two ramps by sketch.

I currently use sub elements method but not prefer, since the model is easily get messed up by people who don't know this method.

Having some problems using ramp method - I use the elevations to control the ramp, the slope can vary as long as it is within the permitted scope
