I want to hide all the walls in a 3D view except a few selected ones. When I enter the Reveal Hidden Element mode, the option to Unhide by Element is greyed out. What do I do?

See UNHIDE CATEGORY on the Contextual Tab? Press it.

...then hide everything except that one Element via Hide in View by Element.

You probably want to figure out a filter rather than hiding the category. Is there something common about the ones you want to show or hide?

That would too time consuming, I have hundreds of walls

So then set up a filter (or filters) to hide the types you don't want to see.

  1. Start your stopwatch
  2. Unhide Wall Category in the View
  3. Select everything in View with a crossing-window
  4. Under Filter on the Contextual Tab, uncheck all but the Wall Category and press Okay
  5. Hold the Shift Key down an select the Wall(s) NOT to Hide. Shift Key deselects elements.
  6. Right-click and select Hide in View By Elements.
  7. Stop your stopwatch. How long did that take?

The Filters is the best way, you can have a Variable and use it to Filtered the Elements.
