hi,

i have revit 2016 running on windows 10 pro(x64).

yesterday, a few errors were logged in the  event viewer :

Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files\Autodesk\revit 2016\FaroImporter.exe". Dependent Assembly FARO.LS,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1d23f5635ba800ab",type="win32",version="1.1.408.2" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis...

further, at the time of the error , revit was not opened.

any assistance in this regards shall be appreciated.

regards

hi,

You can try this > go c: drive > program data > Flexnet > transfer the files inside the Flexnet folder to your desktop folder (just in case you can retrieve it back) and install you autodesk products. hope it helps. thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Do you mean to say that I unistall revit and then reinstall it again?
Please clarify if I have misunderstood.
Thanks

Hi ,
I did as suggested by you-uninsralled and then reinstalled revit and autocad, but perhaps, the error reappeared after two days.
Any further suggestions to resolve the issue?

Hi, sorry to hear that, you must do a clean uninstall (using autodesk uninstall tool) before re-install

or you can check it here. thanks.
