Double click Sheet name in Project broser

I just want to tell someone that I cannot stand the new function in Revit 2019 that brings up the edit sheet name/number dialog box when I double click on a sheet in the project browser. Please change this back! I want the sheet to open when I double click it. I am okay with right clicking to open the Edit name/number dialog box. This change is driving me mad!!

Can I fix this in user settings?

Double-Click doesn't bring up the edit sheet name/number dialog box for me.

Well, you actually did learn me something new. When you double-click slow (one second in between) the rename dialog comes up. Advice: double-click faster in order to open your sheet.

Hmm... it's supposed to be 1 long click... have you checked your double click options?

Lol @barthbradley, it does not need to be the active sheet. But first you need to select it, when clicking on a selected sheet it will open the rename dialog. So technically it may be a double single-click 🙂

the only different i have found is select and click brings up the rename dialog instead of rename-in-browser like previous versions. (quick) double-click works the same for me - open the sheet.

You are not the only one. We warned for this during the beta and the developers luckily put in an an option to turn it off in the Revit.ini ! 🙂

Took a minute to locate the Revit.ini file. Here is where I found it on my machine:

C:\Users\Chad\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2019

Replace Chad with your user name.

Changing the setting in the Revit.ini file does not change anything for me in Revit, the slow double click sheet name change still happens. This suggestion states that there is a bug when trying to change this section in the Revit.ini file. Has anyone actually had success with this? Do I need to do anything differently?
