Demolition - Wall infill not wanted

Afternoon!

When I demo a door, automatically Revit puts in wall infill. Is there a way to turn the wall infill off so it just shows the opening that's left after the door is gone?

Also, when I draw a wall opening in an existing wall, it doesn't show as being demo'd in plan. Is there a setting I can change?

Any input is appreciated.

If you add a sill family to your window family for some reason revit will not automatically create an infill wall.

the sill is a generic model family hosted in a wall

subsequently added to whichever window or door family needing a sill

... or simply change the infill wall to a Curtain Wall with Empty System Panel.

My solution was to create a new wall type called opening comprised of only  a created material called opening 1mm thick ( the minimum allowed by Revit) then replacing the infill wall with that. In plan I used the "override graphics in view" to change that wall to a hidden .125 linetype with a very near white color. It shows in a print, but you need a magnifying glass & very good eyes to see it
