Deleting Project in the Revit 2010 starting windows

When I open Revit, the window shows on the original screen two projects to
be selected so I could work with one.

One is the one that I downloaded from the website of the book that I am
reading, and I do not need it any more. I would like to keep it in the
folder where I put it on Windows Explorer for future reference if I need to,
but I would not like it to be active and and I would not like it to show in
the opening window of Revit 2010.

How do I delete it so it would not be active there in Revit when I work with
Revit?

Thanks in advance.

That is a feature of Revit, which you can choose to have or not. The toggle is within the Options dialog box. Go to the big R (application menu) > options > General tab > Enable recent file page at start-up.
Now, if you want to get rid of one of the recent shortcut files in particular, you need to find a folder in your system where these shortcuts to recent files are stored. The path should be something similar to this: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\RAC 2010\Recent\Revit-1265 ; This path will vary depending on your operating system.

Thanks Alfredo.
By doing that, I now just got an entire grey window with nothing on it, and
I just wanted to get rid of the one shortcut.
I found out the Recent thing that you refer to, but I did not see that one
there.
I will leave it there for now.
As I learn more, I assume that eventually I will get to know how to get rid
of it or ask the question another way when I might have more knowledge.
Thanks again.

Octavio,

Yes, that is why it is called a toggle. You either see all the recent files for projects and families or none at all. If you activate that option, you will get your shortcut files back. I suggest you to keep that feature, which is kind of nice and useful.

The more files you open, the most recently opened will show. Eventually
this one shortcut you want to go away will drop off the list. You could
just open some other projects until it goes away.
