Curtain Wall Mullions Subcatergory

Is there any way to set curtain wall mullions types to an object style subcategory?

Go to Object Styles, and create another catagory under curtainwall mullions. Then you should be able to set the mullions to this.

But how do you assign a mullion type to different subcategories? There isn't a subcategory parameter available in the “family: mullion” properties, nor is set in the curtain wall or the mullion profiles.
What I need to do is export different mullions types onto different layers and the only way I can find is to create the mullions within a curtain wall panel and assign them as different subcategory of a panel.

Hi,

Is this ever solved?

For exporting i want to know this too. I want my glass panels to be on a different layer then the closed panels.

Also for railings, i want my glass on a different layer when exporting.
