Cloud effect

This is a view of part of a wall. How id the "Cloud" effect achieved? Is it in the material or is a display setting?

Use a Background Image.

...maybe I misunderstood. Is that the look of the Material on the surface of a building element in background?  If so, what View/Detail Level/Visual Style do you need it to show in?  You could create the effect internally by overlaying Views on a Sheet.

Thanks - and how can I check which background image has been used for this?

Huh?  Well, if it's there and it's in fact a background image, then follow the path shown under GDO to see where it leads you.

Graphic Display Options - Shadows - enable "Show Ambient Shadows"
