When I go to select the nodes for my wheels in Synthesis, there are no options available. Do I need to create nodes? If so, how?

What are nodes? And how can I view them in Synthesis (i.e. to select wheels)?

Hi,

Sorry but I don't understand your question.

What do you mean with what are nodes.

Could you please explain a little more about what your are doing and what you try to achieve?

Regards,

Arthur Knoors

In Inventor, there is an export robot feature under the environment tab. If you use that feature, it will begin to import your design to another Autodesk software called Synthesis which is used to simulate a robot design. When I go to export my robot to Synthesis, it asks me to select which nodes on my design are the wheels. For me, there are nodes to select, it is just a blank box. So do I need to create a node or something like that?

Thank you all for your responses. I have figured out how to solve this and will post the answer for anyone else who might need it. It turns out that a node is a thing that is being attached using a joint. For example, if you were putting a wheen onto a drive train, the wheel would be the node. I was going into all the subassemblies of my main assembly and jointing moving parts in there, and then when I went back into my main assembly nothing moved. It turns out that I actually have to join everything in my main assembly instead of jointing them in their own subassemblies. I removed the joints in my subassemblies, readded them in my main assembly, and it worked. After that whenever I tried to export my robot to Synthesis, all of the nodes were properly displayed I was able to select them.

Are you trying to delete? If so, you should be able to either right-click it and press delete or press the "delete" key on your keyboard.

No how do you add joints in master level it only appears in the subassembly's and when I remove from the relationships It disappears. what I'm asking is a video or a more detailed way to do. like what buttons to press.
