Inventor Revision table button is greyed out

Hi,

Could anyone help me with the following problem:

When i'm in Inventor and go to the Annotate Tab > Revision table. The Revision table button is greyed out and I cannot click on it.

(also when creating a new drawing)

Other users can use the button.

Inventor also has been completly reinstalled using the provided uninstall tool from autodesk.

This did not solve the problem.

Does anyone know a solution?
I searched on google but could not really find the exact same problem in combination with Inventor.

PS we are using Inventor & Vault 2018

Hi @Anonymous,

I think that we can help you but:

a) this post would have been better in the wider Forum

b) we need more details from you, namely build number for both Inventor and Vault versions

&

c) Screenshots highlighting the button that isn't working.

Have you installed the latest service packs/patches from the Desktop App?

Thanks for the quick respond.

I was not sure in which forum i had to put it so i choose this one.

The build number of Vault is: Autodesk Vault Professional 2018

Build 23.0.76.0
2018.0.1 update

The build number of Inventor is:

Inventor professional 2018

Build 171, Release: 2018.1.2 

I did not run any updates. 

I also attached a image of the button. I pointed an arrow to it.

On the users machine this button is grey. On this machine its working correctly though.

I believe I have the latest version:

I would recommend you run the latest updates (from the desktop app) on your users' system and come back to us if the issue isn't fixed.

Hi Alex,

The users inventor and vault are up to date. The problem is still there.

Other users that are not fully up to date, do not have this problem.

I also noticed that if the user clicks on the arrow he sees the buttons "Vault revision" and "Revision tag."

On the PC that is working correctly I dont see the button "Vault Revision" But I only see "Revision" and "Revision tag"

it has never released by Autodesk!

This cannot be downloaded and is not released yet.

My desktop app also says up tot date.

I guess I clicked update when we came back after the holidays and got the 2018.2.1 version before it got pulled. (IIRC there's a post somewhere explaining why it got canned)

Can't see the 2018.2.2 update in either the Desktop App and the manage.autodesk.com page(s)

Did updating (as far as possible) fix your problem @Anonymous?

The PC is up to date, but the problem is still there.

(I ask because these patches 2018.2.1 & 2018.2.2 may address the issue, but then again they may not.)
